“Nishiki” (containers formed by injection molding) is a representative brand of plastic food containers. Nishiki is
produced through application of special molding techniques and comes in various forms; tiered boxes that have
the look of traditional Japanese, lacquered finish, containers for sushi and sashimi, dishes for parties, etc. Nishiki
is also designed by professionals. The product is very cared for in every detail.
This “Nishiki” has 50% share of the market nationwide, and to our further surprise, only less than 1% of the sold
products is retrieved for the recycling system for food containers.
This is because many of the customers are using “Nishiki” at home as a spare dish after their first use, as they
consider it would be a “waste to throw [them] away”.
This means that 99% of “Nishiki” is being recycled, which is a great result from the care for details.
With the Kyushu Distribution Centre in the west and the Tohoku Distribution Centre in the east, the network
“One Day Supply System” enables products to be delivered on the following day if the order is placed in the
morning, without keeping our customers across the country waiting.
